How does Nomady verify student sellers and maintain marketplace safety?

Nomady verifies university credentials (.edu.pl emails), student IDs, and uses 6-digit email OTP login codes. We recommend daylight meetups at designated campus handover hubs near UW, PW, or SGH and inspecting items before payment.

What are Nomady's transaction and platform fees?

Nomady has 0% platform commission and zero hidden fees. Buyers pay 100% of the agreed price directly to the peer seller via cash or BLIK.

What should I do during a furniture handover meetup?

Meet in daylight at a public location or university campus hub (UW Krakowskie Przedmieście, PW Plac Politechniki, or SGH Mokotów), inspect the furniture item thoroughly against the listing photos and condition scale, and complete payment with BLIK or cash.

What is the recommended timeline for moving into or out of a Warsaw apartment?

For move-in, students can complete an entire room setup in under 48 hours, saving 50-70% vs IKEA retail. For move-out, list items 2-3 weeks before departure, create bundle kits to sell all furniture in one weekend, or donate remaining unsold essentials to local charity partners.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Warsaw Moving & Transport

Practical details on Warsaw ZTM furniture transit, campus handover hubs, and verified student safety

Under Warsaw ZTM public transit regulations, commuters are permitted to transport luggage and disassembled flat-pack furniture free of charge on Metro M1 and M2 lines, trams, and city buses, provided items do not obstruct passageways or doors. Major central Warsaw Metro stations—including Centrum, Świętokrzyska, Politechnika, and Pole Mokotowskie—are fully equipped with wide street-to-platform elevators specifically accommodating flat-packs. For bulkier, non-disassembled items like mattresses or assembled couches, students frequently use Warsaw car-sharing services like Traficar (cargo vans and hatchbacks rented by the minute) or Panek.
